I'm Melissa Wyrd, and I’m so honored to welcome you to my Soulight space. As a lifelong intuitive, I’ve always felt called to the wisdom that lives in symbols and stories.  
My path as a seer and spiritual guide is deeply rooted in ancestral memory—one of my main influences being my Nordic ancestry, a confirmed genetic connection to Ötzi the Iceman, the 5,300-year-old preserved being found in the Alps. This lineage isn’t just fascinating—it’s sacred. It means I carry within me the ancient knowledge of Earth-walkers, shamans, and early magic-keepers, passed down not just in spirit, but in blood. It’s why I feel so at home with the runes—tools that speak a language older than words, yet still alive in the soul.  

What Are Runes?

 
Runes are far more than an ancient alphabet; they are powerful symbols used for divination, spiritual insight, and elemental energy. The Elder Futhark system—consisting of 24 potent runes—is the most widely known. These symbols were etched into stone, wood, and bone, used for healing, protection, and invocation. Here are a few powerful examples:  

• Fehu (ᚠ): Abundance, movement, primal energy  
• Ansuz (ᚨ): Divine communication, ancestral truth  
• Raidho (ᚱ): Soul journeys, alignment with the path ahead  
  The runes don’t just answer questions—they reveal energetic truths, helping you see what's hidden and claim your power.  

Why I Work With the Runes

 
My connection to the runes isn’t something I learned—it’s something I remembered. Through dreams, synchronicities, and ancestral work, the runes began to speak to me. Their voice echoed the same earth-magic that likely ran through the rituals and daily life of my ancient Nordic ancestors—and perhaps even Ötzi himself, whose preserved body still carries symbols, tattoos, and signs of energetic knowledge.  
To me, runes are not just tools; they’re kin. They help me guide others toward healing, insight, and inner sovereignty. In addition to reading runes, I also handcraft my own rune sets, using resin, herbs, crystals, wood, and other sacred materials. This isn't just a creative process—it's a ritual. Each rune is poured, carved, or cast with deep intention, ancestral reverence, and energetic care. Because I create them myself, they hold a stronger energetic charge—they're not just symbols, they're living tools, awakened and activated through spirit and craft. When you work with runes that have been handmade by a practitioner, you're connecting with something that’s already vibrating with purpose and soul, making your readings clearer, deeper, and more transformative.
